The delegation, accompanied by RA Prime Minister Anna Hakobyan, toured the Matenadaran Museum and visited the Restoration Department and the Depository of Manuscripts at the invitation of the MyStep Foundation.
Ara Khzmalyan, director of Matenadaran, presented the idea of creating a laboratory for Arabic manuscripts’ restoration and research at Matenadaran. It would help in including Arabic manuscripts in scientific circulation. The delegation expressed great interest in the idea and suggested discussing the plan with the President of Qatar National Library, Hamad Bin Abdulaziz Al-Kawari, State minister with the rank of Deputy Prime Minister, who was invited to participate in the “The Images of Memory” international seminar to be held on October 8-12 in Matenadaran.
Additionally, the director presented the guests with the English picture book “The Spiritual Citadel of Syunik: Tatev” published by Matenadaran.
