THE 13TH INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR, “THE FACES OF MEMORY,” HAS COMMENCED AT MASHTOTS MATENADARAN. THE SEMINAR WILL FOCUS ON THE LATEST TECHNOLOGIES FOR PRESERVING AND RESTORING HANDWRITTEN AND PRINTED HERITAGE

“The Faces of Memory” international seminar is a platform for significant institutions worldwide dedicated to preserving written heritage. Over the past 13 years, it has welcomed over 130 universal organizations and hundreds of professionals, fostering new business connections.

Matenadaran is the leading professional centre for written heritage restoration in Armenia and the region. As part of Matenadaran’s new development strategy, its role in the written heritage restoration will be expanded to include Armenian spiritual manuscript centres from across the globe, whose representatives are participating in this seminar. The technical re-equipment and infrastructural reforms at Matenadaran are aligned with this objective.

The 13th international seminar “The Faces of Memory” is supported by the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport, the European Union in Armenia, and Araratbank.

During the event, Zhanna Andreasyan, the RA Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, sent her welcome speech. Vassilis Maragos, Head of Delegation, Ambassador of the European Union to Armenia, and Grigor Hovhannisyan, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Araratbank, also delivered their welcome speech.
