They both praised the significant contribution of the former head of the department, Vrezh (Nerses Der Nersessian) Nersessian, to the study and promotion of Armenian culture.
Dr Erdman, on behalf of the library’s management, expressed readiness to enhance the collaboration between the two institutions. They highlighted three main areas of cooperation: joint exhibitions, updating, research, and publication of the lists of Armenian manuscripts in the British Library and activities aimed at preserving written heritage.
They agreed to start the collaboration with a joint exhibition held in the library, during which they plan to sign a memorandum of cooperation.
