On July 26, Dr Nora Arissian, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Syrian Arab Republic to the Republic of Armenia, and Consul Mr Ahmad Alathba visited Mashtots Matenadaran. The guests met with Vahan Ter-Ghevondian, the Director of Matenadaran, and Vardi Keshishian, the Head of the Department of International Relations. They discussed the events within the framework of the 30th anniversary of the confirmation of diplomatic relations between Syria and Armenia and the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Department of Oriental Studies of Matenadaran. After the meeting, accompanied by the Head of the Museum Part Nazeni Gharibyan, the guests toured the museum building and got acquainted with the Study of Medieval Armenian literature.
