On October 22, Andrey Kovatchev, the permanent rapporteur on Armenian issues in the European Parliament, visited Mashtots Matenadaran. Accompanied by Vahan Ter-Ghevondian, the director of Matenadaran, and Nazeni Gharibyan, the head of the museum part, the guest toured the museum building and got acquainted with the study of Medieval Armenian literature, the manuscript heritage of Artsakh, and the collections of foreign manuscripts. Mr Kovatchev was also introduced to the newly opened exhibition entitled “Facing the Past for the Future: Restoration in Armenia”.
