ANOUSH APRESYAN, SENIOR RESEARCHER ATTENDED THE 21ST ANNUAL GRADUATE STUDENT COLLOQUIUM IN ARMENIAN STUDIES AT THE UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, LOS ANGELES (UCLA)

The Department of Near Eastern Languages and Cultures of the University of California organized the conference to bring together scientists, researchers, and post-graduate students from different countries to present studies on various fields of Armenian studies such as language, literature, history, anthropology and art history.

During the conference, Anoush Apresyan presented a report titled “The Spiritual-Cultural Significance of Translation: Nemesius of Emesa’s Treatise On Human Nature”. The report highlighted the invaluable significance of the translation of the book of Nemesius of Emesa, which played a crucial role in the development of medieval Armenian theological and philosophical thought, as well as Armenian translation traditions.
