On March 18-19, 2024, the director Ara Khzmalyan and delegation of Mesrop Mashtots Matenadaran visited the Korneli Kekelidze Georgian National Centre of Manuscripts. During the visit, the director of the Centre, Zaza Abashidze, welcomed the delegation and highlighted the history of cooperation between the Centre and Matenadaran. He also presented the activities of the Armenian studies department and expressed gratitude for the return visit. After a thorough discussion, they decided to initiate Armenian-Georgian workshops and jointly publish the lists of Armenian manuscripts kept in the Centre and Georgian manuscripts in Matenadaran. Additionally, the two institutions agreed to collaborate in the framework of the master’s program introduced in the future and the training of young scholars. Shortly, the Center’s Armenological department employees will visit Yerevan for a week, and director Zaza Abashidze will participate in the International Armenological Congress in July.
