NEW COOPERATION WITH THE LAUNCH OF A PROSPECTIVE PROGRAM OF TECHNICAL AND TECHNOLOGICAL RE-EQUIPMENT

Matenadaran and Ararat Bank have confirmed their recent agreement (established almost a month ago) with the signing of a memorandum and donation agreement. The agreement aims to establish more comprehensive cooperation between the two organizations. As part of this partnership, the biological research laboratory of manuscripts will be modernized and re-equipped by Ararat Bank. Additionally, Matenadaran will organize the 13th annual international seminar titled “The Images of Memory: The Newest Technologies of Preservation and Restoration of Manuscript and Printed Heritage”.

Ara Khzmalyan, the director of Matenadaran, expressed his gratitude to Ararat Bank for their support. He emphasized that this cooperation will significantly improve the quality level of the technical and technological equipment of Matenadaran’s laboratories. This will allow Matenadaran, with more than 60 years of restoration experience, to expand its international cooperation with partner scientific institutions.

Mher Ananyan, the executive director of Ararat Bank and chairman of the board, considers it an honour to support Matenadaran. He emphasized that the partnership should contribute to the preservation and popularization of national culture. Ananyan shared his thoughts at the solemn ceremony on the occasion of the start of cooperation.

Thanks to this partnership, a successful cooperation was also formed with the YSU Biology Research Institute and microbiology, bioenergetics, and biotechnology laboratories. This will make planned prospective programs feasible. Karen Trchunyan, the director of YSU Biology Research Institute, also spoke about the effectiveness of joint efforts.

The event ended with a concert program by the “Avetis” string quartet.
