Collecting manuscripts has always been Matenadaran’s mission. The period from July 2023 to July 2024 was particularly successful, with over 40 unique manuscripts, ancient fragments, and valuable documents discovered, some of which are on display at the exhibition.
Each new manuscript entering Matenadaran is a testament to the collective memory.
The additions to the collection became possible through collaborations with state institutions, private organizations, and generous individuals. These achievements were funded by Matenadaran and supported by a new strategy to raise public awareness and disseminate information.
The Armenian Holy Martyrs Church of Philadelphia made the latest contribution.
The event concluded with performances by the National Chamber Orchestra of Armenia in the area adjacent to Matenadaran. The concert ended with works dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Charles Aznavour.
