On March 26, 2025, a meeting discussion took place at the Armenian House in Geneva, attended by Ara Khzmalyan, the Director of Matenadaran, and representatives from the Armenian community.
During the meeting, the Director highlighted the various activities and programs being implemented by Matenadaran, specifically focusing on the “Homecoming of Manuscripts” campaign. He encouraged participation in the campaign in any possible way.
Videos showcasing the newly opened laboratories and Matenadaran collection works were presented, followed by a Q&A session where the attendees addressed questions to Ara Khzmalyan.
The RA Ambassador to Switzerland, Hasmik Tolmajyan, and Professor Valentina Caltsolari from the University of Geneva also gave speeches.
At the end of the meeting, the Director was presented with two Armenian manuscripts held at the centre, and a preliminary agreement was reached regarding their treatment and restoration.
