As part of the event, Hravard Hakobyan’s book, “The Miniature Painting Workshop of Khizan,” was launched. The premiere of the documentary film “Life at the Matenadaran,” devoted to the scholar’s life and academic career, also took place.
Congratulatory addresses were delivered at the ceremony by Ara Khzmalyan, Director of Matenadaran; Anna Asatryan, Director of the Institute of Arts; Vardan Azatyan, Rector of the State Academy of Fine Arts; Suren Safaryan, President of the Union of Artists of Armenia; Nazenie Garibian, Head of the Department of Medieval Art at Matenadaran; as well as Ruben Mirzakhanyan, Head of the Tekeyan Cultural Centre, and Aelita Dolukhanyan, Doctor of Philological Sciences and Professor.
Editor Lusine Sargsyan presented the book The Miniature Painting Workshop of Khizan. Hayk Hambardzumyan, Head of the Matenadaran Publishing House, served as moderator for the event.
