Anahit Astoyan, “The Economic Situation and Material Losses of the Armenians of Bursa in the Years of the Armenian Genocide”, Gitutyun publishing house, 2017, 320 pages and 40 insert pages  The Institute of Economics of the Academy of Sciences of Armenia published the study “The Economic Situation and Material Losses of the Armenians of Bursa During theYears of the Armenian Genocide” by Anahit Astoyan, Senior Researcher at the Archives Department of Matenadaran.  The book presents the economic status of the Armenians of Bursa before the First World War and reveals the influential position of the Armenians in the economic life of the province, based on a large number of newly-found documents, Armenian periodical press publications, Turkish and other foreign sourceskept in the Armenian archival depositories.  With the implementation of the Armenian Genocide, the Turkish government acquired a huge personal and collective property: houses, lands, breeding, silk, silkworm breeding and other factories, hotels, mines of granite, marble, copper, iron, silver, as well as cultural values.  The primary goal of the study is to provide economists with materials and facts to calculate the losses of the Armenians of Bursa as a result of the Armenian Genocide.The book is also intended for historians and a wide range of readers.
