On October 8, a delegation headed by the Catholicos-Patriarch Mar Awa III of the Assyrian Church of the East in Armenia visited Mashtots Matenadaran. Accompanied by Vahan Ter-Ghevondian, the director of Matenadaran, the guests toured the museum building and got acquainted with the study of Medieval Armenian literature, the manuscript heritage of Artsakh, and the collections of foreign manuscripts. The delegation also got acquainted with the Assyrian manuscripts kept at Matenadaran, their preservation, restoration and study process.
