PROFESSOR IRVING FINKEL, PROFESSOR OF THE MIDDLE EAST DEPARTMENT OF THE BRITISH MUSEUM, FAMOUS CUNEIFORM EXPERT, ONE OF THE BEST RESEARCHERS OF THE ANCIENT HISTORY OF THE MIDDLE EAST VISITED THE “MATENADARAN” MESROP MASHTOTS INSTITUTE OF ANCIENT MANUSCRIPTS

Irving Finkel toured the Matenadaran Museum, got acquainted with the permanent and temporary exhibitions. He was greatly impressed by the rich manuscript heritage of the Matenadaran, especially the variety of foreign language collections, as well as the thorough presentation of the museum exhibit. Professor Finkel is in Armenia at the invitation of “Erebuni” Historical and Archaeological Reserve-Museum.
