Mashtots Matenadaran hosted a two-day international conference that commemorated the 100th anniversary of the distinguished Armenologist-Oriental scholar Babken Chugaszyan, who was the long-term deputy director of Matenadaran.
Ara Khzmalyan, the director of Matenadaran, greeted the conference participants and appreciated the scholar’s contribution, particularly in the collection of manuscripts. Ara Khzmalyan gave the Chugaszyan family a photo of Harutyun Hazaryan and Babken Chugaszyan, who are known for their exceptional donations to Matenadaran.
Reports were given about Babken Chugaszyan’s life, activities, and academic legacy.
The first volume of Babken Chugaszyan’s academic articles collection was presented as well.
