As part of the Matenadaran delegation’s visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran, a presentation was given by Yvette Tajarian, a senior researcher at Matenadaran, at the museum of the Monastery of Saint Amenaprkich of New Julfa. The presentation was on the album “A compilation of Photographs from Mashtots Matenadaran’s Collection”. Yvette Tajarian talked about the donations included in the album by Iranian-Armenian individuals like Avo Hovhannisian, Joseph Papazian, and Emmanuel Sevrugian.
The leader of the Armenian Diocese of Isfahan, the ambassador of the National Diocesan Headquarters of New Julfa, public figures, and community representatives attended the event.
Vergineh Mirzakhanian, responsible for the library and public relations of the Monastery of Saint Amenaprkich (Holy Savior Cathedral) of New Julfa, gave the welcome speech.
The director of Matenadaran, Ara Khzmalyan, also spoke about the planned cooperation in new exhibitions, additions, and restoration of Matenadaran.
The library and the educational and cultural institutions of New Julfa received the album.
