During the visit of the Matenadaran delegation to Lebanon, they met with His Holiness Father Gevorg Senior Archimandrite Noratunkyan, the Patriarchal Vicar of the Bzommar Patriarchal Congregation, as well as with the curator of the museum and library of the Bzommar monastery, His Grace Bedros Marashlian, and other congregants. The Matenadaran delegation was given a tour of the Bzommar monastery’s manuscript repository, museum, collection of early printed books, and restoration workshop. During the meeting, a memorandum of cooperation was signed, which included plans to expand cooperation in the filds of scientific research, exhibition, and restoration. As part of the initiative, the restorers of the Congregation will be trained in Matenadaran in the fall. The head of the Library of the Catholicosate of the Great House of Cilicia, His Eminence Archbishop Shahan Sarkissian, RA Ambassador to Lebanon Vahagn Atabekyan, and the inspector of the archives of the Catholicosate of the Great House of Cilicia Catholicos, His Holiness Father Vigen Talgyeljian, were also present at the meeting.
