For the first time, visitors to Matenadaran will have the opportunity to gain a comprehensive understanding of the history behind the creation of manuscripts and the field of medicine. This project is based on the findings from textual studies—particularly in medicine and calendars- and experimental and applied research conducted at Matenadaran. The materials and recipes on display are drawn exclusively from manuscripts. At the opening event, several key figures will be present, including Ara Khzmalyan, the director of Matenadaran; Nazenie Garibian, the head of the art department and project manager; and other significant representatives from supporting organizations. Among those attending will be Alfred Kocharyan, the Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of the Republic of Armenia; Vassilis Maragos, the Head of Delegation and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary; Anna Gargaryan, the head of the AGBU Armenia Catapult creative accelerator program; and Karin Hovhannisyan, the founding director of the “Creative Armenia” cultural foundation.
