
Greta Gasparyan, researcher at the Department of Medieval Art Studies at the Matenadaran, participated on April 10–11, 2026, in the 15th Annual International Workshop organized by the Center for Armenian Studies(CAS) at the University of Michigan. During the workshop, she presented a paper entitled “Artistic Transformations and Diasporic Identity in the Manuscript Tradition of New Julfa”, based on a comparative analysis of five manuscripts from the Matenadaran collection.
On April 19–28, Greta Gasparyan undertook a research visit to Manchester, United Kingdom, to study three Armenian manuscripts illustrated in Julfa and New Julfa in the 16th–17th centuries and preserved at the John Rylands Library. The visit was supported by the Young Scientists Support Program (code 25YSSP-ASR-023).
