MASHTOTS MATENADARAN OPENED THE EXHIBITION “FACING THE PAST FOR THE FUTURE: RESTORATION IN ARMENIA”

On October 18, Mashtots Matenadaran opened an exhibition entitled “Facing the Past for the Future: Restoration in Armenia,” which includes works restored by specialists in the restoration studios of Armenia in recent years.

The exhibition is held thanks to the cooperation with the History Museum of Armenia, the National Gallery of Armenia, the National Archives of Armenia, the Echmiadzin Cathedral Museums, the Research Center of the Historical and Cultural Heritage, the Service for the Protection of Historical Environment and Cultural Museum-reservations, and the “Erebuni” Historical and Archaeological Museum-Reserve.

The curator of the exhibition “Facing the Past for the Future: Restoration in Armenia” is Ara Haytayan, and the project manager is Gayane Eliazyan.

The sponsors of the exhibition are the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia, the Municipality of Yerevan, the “Mashtots” foundation, the Yerevan Brandy Company and a benefactor. 

The exhibition will be open until June 30, 2023.
