From January 27 to 28, 2024, Professor Kristine Kostikyan, the leading researcher of Matenadaran and Doctor of Historical Sciences, attended an International workshop titled “Tolerance and Intolerance in the Early Modern World” at the University of Tokyo. She presented a report on ” Challenges Faced by the Armenian Christians under Shiite Islamic Rule in the Early Modern Period: Aspects of Religion and Identity”.
Scientists from Japan, France, and Great Britain attended the workshop, and it was decided to publish the presented reports in a separate collection after processing them.
