Also present at the meeting were Arthur Martirosyan, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia, Mehdi Sobhani, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Armenia, Ara Khzmalyan, the director of Matenadaran, and others.
During the meeting, they discussed the agreements reached during the recent visit by the Matenadaran delegation to Iran, which included cooperation in the Armenian-Iranian historical heritage, restoration of manuscripts, joint studies, exchange of digital copies, organization of scientific events, and publication of materials.
The parties also discussed the upcoming training courses in Matenadaran in the fall for the restorers of the archive of the National Holy Saviour Monastery of Julfa and the archives restoration centre to improve their professional abilities to restore the old manuscripts.
Furthermore, they discussed strengthening the relations between Armenia and Iran in the spheres of education, science, and youth, also expanding and developing the cooperation agenda in various fields.
