The cancellation was conducted by the director of Matenadaran, Ara Khzmalyan; the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of HayPost Company, Artak Ghulyan; the Head of the Postal Department of the Ministry of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia, Tsovinar Galstyan; the architect’s grandson, journalist, and writer Mark Grigoryan; and the President of the Armenian Association of Philatelists, Hovik Musayelyan.
The stamp from the nominal souvenir sheet features the architect, known for his designs of Matenadaran, the National Assembly, the State Theater of Musical Comedy named after H. Paronyan, and other architectural landmarks.
After the event, the architect’s grandson presented Matenadaran with the original drawing of the Matenadaran building, which had been restored by Matenadaran’s restorers years earlier.
