The opening ceremony of the exhibition “1 YEAR’S ETERNITY-II: Manuscript Replenishments of the Matenadaran” took place during the International Congress of Armenian Studies. This event was marked by the generous donation of a valuable 17th-century Gospel from the “Viva Armenia” company. In the colophon, the Gospel is referred to as the “Saviour.” This complete parchment manuscript is considered one of the lost manuscripts of Vaspurakan, specifically from the Lim Desert. Yervand Lalayan described the Gospel at the beginning of the 20th century, and over a century later, it has found its permanent home in Matenadaran.
The “1 YEAR’S ETERNITY” exhibition will include additions from July 2024 to July 2025.
